(I wrote this poem a few weeks ago)

It's hard
You don't know
You're straight
You don't get judged
You aren't made fun of for who you love
You have no idea what it's like
It makes you insecure
You think of yourself as insignificant
You get weak and defensless
You feel like dying
You lead a life of solemnecy
No friends, no life
No one to rely or depend on
You're alone
No home
Your parents do not appreciate you anymore
You get kicked out in the streets for doing nothing wrong
It depresses you more
You need counseling
You hate counseling
It doesn't help the situation
In fact, it makes it worse
Not being straight is not a crime
Those who are attracted to the same sex are still human beings
We should all be treated equally
It's not fair the way things are
If only there was a way to change things
Why can't we have a gay president or something
Crazy, yes
Truthful, definately
Is it that hard to just deal with it
Get over yourselves
To all those who are straight, I respect you
But if you make fun of the gays or bis, they will disrespect you just the same
I do not disrespect straight people, but for some reason they disrespect me
That's just the way things are
